The Newsroom
The third and final season of this political drama series consists of only six
episodes, so you’ll have to savour every moment. Starring Emmy Award-winner
Jeff Daniels, along with Emily Mortimer, Dev Patel and Olivia Munn, it chronicles
the behind-the-scenes events at the fictional Atlantis Cable News (CAN)
channel, and follows the news team on their idealistic mission to present the
news well in the face of a picky audience, corporate mandates and complicated
personal relationships.
Premieres 10 November at 9pm on HBO/HBO HD
(StarHub Channel 601).
Expedition Burma
Burma is rumoured to be home to a
treasure trove of wildlife, but decades
of military dictatorship have kept the
secrets of its impenetrable jungles.
But now, for the first time, a team of
scientists and wildlife filmmakers has
gained exclusive access to explore
the uncharted wilderness. This three-
part series follows the team on its
exciting quest to find out whether
Burma’s extensive forests could be the
last strongholds for Asian elephants
and other iconic species already
endangered in the rest of the world.
Premieres 20 November at 10.50pm
on BBC Knowledge HD (StarHub
Channel 407).
