Forget cards and flowers. Send something
the birthday girl really wants – her very own
cheesecake.
Cat and the Fiddle
is a new online
shop where you choose your cheesecake, organise
all the extras (stencilled messaging, gift tags,
candles) and schedule a delivery date (next day –
no problem!), all on the company’s easy-to-navigate
website. And get this – cheesecakes range from
$19.90 to $32.80. Delivery costs $9 (Sentosa folks
– you’ll pay $19) or pick it up for $5 at Clarke Quay
or for free at Tai Seng.

IT’S
ALL
GOOD
You needn’t
bother asking
your waiter at
inItaly
, “What’s
good here?”
The restaurant
revamped its
menu to include
Chef Mario
Caramella’s
“best of the best”
dishes as voted
by restaurant
regulars. Nightly
specials that were perpetual hits, like the asparagus,
fried egg and Raspadura cheese flakes ($24) and
the smoked eel and red berry risotto ($32, shown
here), are now menu mainstays. These dishes are
intermixed into the menu rather than given their own
billing, so on second thoughts, you may have to ask
a few questions to suss these specialties out. 38

Organic C leanse
Just another juice cleanse? Not so. What
sets
Rejuicenate
apart is the fact that each
of its cold-pressed juices is made from
100-percent organic farm-fresh produce,
and is put together by a Michelin-trained
NYC chef, Chris Remaley. He designed all
of the juices with the help of a nutritionist,
resulting in cleansers that are good for you
and taste great. What’s more, Rejuicenate
supports local farming industries and
sources a lot of its organic ingredients from
farms in Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand.
Prices from $320 for a three-day cleanse.
