WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF PLAY?
When children play, they are doing something that they choose to do and enjoy doing.
They use their imagination, which is a great asset in later life, and they develop an
understanding of how different actions have different outcomes. For example, building
blocks and puzzles help to develop problem-solving skills in early mathematics.
Physical activity also helps to develop muscles, and increase the coordination skills
and general fitness of young children.
When parents use their time to help teach children, it accelerates the development
of their young children’s knowledge. Many of us underestimate the value of time
spent in this way.
WHAT IS AMAZONIA?
With 9,000 square feet of play space, Amazonia is a unique environment for
children aged three to 12 years old to do much more than have fun, though that is
essential too! As well as the eight-metre slide and five-storey super-play centre, there
are activities to stimulate and develop a child’s senses. The best thing is that parents
can get involved in every play area, and share in the fun.

Our latest additions are the interactive kitchen play area, and a building-block area
that is great for developing hand-eye coordination; we’ve also installed more of the
wall-mounted play panels for sight and sound stimulation, which are always popular.
WHAT ACTIVITIES CAN FAMILIES ENJOY TOGETHER?
Glow in the Dark Golf is a fun game for the whole family. It’s about helping each
other, developing hand-eye coordination as well as teamwork and spatial awareness,
all while having good fun.
WHAT ABOUT PARTIES?
Our two refurbished birthday party rooms
just re-opened and these are without doubt
the best themed rooms in Singapore! At
Amazonia, we don’t just do parties; our
specialty is fully themed concepts, including
goodie bags, decorations, dedicated party
hosts and games, plus themed food to top
it off. Some of our party themes include
Princess, Superheroes, Science, Magic and
Laser Tag. The two rooms are different; one
is designed as an F1 track, and the other
is a special princess room complete with
carriages. Parents don’t have to worry
about anything – they can just relax with
their kids and their friends, without any fuss.
