Great food is one of the features of BoB; what’s on
the menu this time around?
We’re thrilled that Paul Askew, the chef patron of The Art
School, Liverpool, will be showcasing his culinary prowess.
Paul is excited to return to Singapore for the event; he spent
the better part of his childhood here. Coincidentally, his
parents were members of The British Club when they resided
in Singapore.
Paul is a fellow of the Royal Academy of Culinary Arts,
and in 2013 was appointed its joint chairman for the North of
England. As Merseyside Food Champion and ambassador
for Taste Northwest, he has helped to promote food tourism
within Liverpool and the northwestern region in general.
Recently, Paul won Outstanding Champion and Pioneer at
the Liverpool Food and Drink Awards 2014.
What do you have planned for the Ladies’ Luncheon
and Fashion Show?
Robinsons is back on board with two of its leading brands,
Coast and Oasis; together with Vivien Sheriff, well-known
milliner to the royals, who will accessorise the fabulous
dresses. As a special treat, Paul Askew will present a live
cooking demonstration of the three-course lunch to be served
on the day.
Best of British (BoB), the annual highlight of The British Club, is
back for its third year, showcasing the very best of UK cuisine,
sport, fashion and entertainment. The Club’s General Manager
SEAN BOYLE gives us a preview of what’s in store this year.
