I loved your July issue home feature titled
“Marina Bay Cool”, about Harry Dewhirst and
Veronica Kopacikova’s apartment. Especially,
I thought their Union Jack table-top made out
of Lego bricks was fabulous. On the basis that
imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, could
you ask them to let me have their graphic
designer’s plan and details regarding the
number of bricks so I can replicate this myself?
Pamela Myktowych
Ed: We’d love to help, but unfortunately the
couple no longer have those details. All we
cansuggest is that youaskanother designer
todrawsomethingup for you, usinga similar
table as your base. Good luck!
China with Baby
We’ll be travelling soon to Shanghai, Xi’an and Beijing with
our eight-month-old baby, so I was delighted to come across
your website post, “How to Travel in China with a Baby”. It
was a wonderful read that helped me overcome my stressful
apprehensions. Thank you!

Missing Miss Manners
I always looked out for Kristen Graff’s “Oh,
Behave!” column (on how to mind your P’s and
Qs, even when others don’t), but now it seems
to be missing from the magazine. I hope she
hasn’t retired for good!

Ed: Kristendid takeabreak for awhile, but in
response to readerdemandwe’ll bebringing
the column back from next month. Anyone
with a question on manners or etiquette –
especially relatingto life inSingapore, should
send it to
