DRAMA CAMPS

Staying in Singapore for the

summer and keen to find a

way to occupy the kids over

the holidays? Buds is running

three-day drama camps right

up to the middle of August.

The young ones will learn to

devise their own plots, design

a set and costumes, and top

it all off with a performance

for family and friends at the

end of the camp.

OPERA IN THE PARK

(7 JUNE)

Singapore Lyric Opera’s

Opera in the Park celebrates

its 7th year. Featuring classic

favourites such as Puccini’s

Tosca

, Bizet’s

Carmen

and

more, this year’s performance

will be conducted by Joshua

Tan Kangming. You can

also expect lovely pieces

such as “The Little Mermaid”

and “Edelweiss” from guest

performers, the SLO Children’s

Choir.

evening of Cirque-style

EXHIBITION: BEST

OF BRITISH

This exhibition will showcase

new works by six British

artists – Morgan Howell, Nikki

Douthwaite, Horace Panter,

Paul Oz, Colin Brown and Tim

Wakefield. Their work covers

a range of media from paper

sculpture to mixed-media collage

work, oil and acrylic portraits

and even confetti art. In keeping

with the theme of the gallery, the

artworks will celebrate music,

sport and cultural icons.
