All-Australian Affair
AustCham Singapore revealed the 2015 list
of the winners of its 16th President’s Business
AwardsduringanAussie-style lunchat theGrand
Hyatt. Recipients included Frasers Centrepoint,
which took home the Commonwealth Bank of
Australia Business Alliance Award, and Kaer,
which received the James Cook University
Australia Business Excellence Award. Comic
entertainer VinceSorrenti hosted the celebratory
feast, whichwas prepared by leading chefs from
Tippling Club, The Prime Society, Bacchanalia,
Grand Hyatt and Burnt Ends.
Beautiful Nature
Art is Wild presented American
artist Jacklyn Gratzfeld’s first
Singapore solo exhibition in
the beautiful grounds of the
Seletar Country Club. Jacklyn
supports various nature and
wildlife projects, and with her
work she intends to “give a
voice to the part of nature that
cannot speak”.
Thought-provoking Exhibition
The opening of British conceptual artist Ryan Gander’s
first solo exhibition in Singapore, Portrait of a Blind
Artist Obscured by Flowers, was attended by artists,
collectors and galleries that are well known in the local
arts scene. The British High Commissioner Antony
Phillipson was also present, and was given a private
guided tour of the exhibition.
