HEALTH INSURANCE

Health insurance is usually the starting point for insurance coverage
for newly arrived expats in Singapore. Singapore is renowned for
world-class health facilities, but treatment comes at a price. We spoke
to one expat about her experiences, and we asked representatives
from two insurance companies to answer some common questions.

Why did you decide to use Expat
Insurance?
We spoke with a number of insurance
companies directly and they were very
unhelpful. Expat Insurance explained
every element of each and every policy
we considered and gave us the pros
and cons with insider tips. They simply
provided us with proper customer
service. We found Expat Insurance
through the recommendations of other
expat families on Facebook.
Which policies do you and your
family have?
Health and travel insurance. Having
done extensive research on our own,
we found the packages offered by Expat
Insurance to be the most competitive.
Have you needed cover for
maternity while living here?
Yes, and we had a nightmare experience
with claims during my maternity before
we found Expat Insurance. Despite
having coverage with another company,
we found it almost impossible to get
them to honour any claims. I wish we’d
found Expat Insurance when we first
arrived in Singapore.
Why would you recommend the
company to others?
Expat Insurance provided us with exactly
what we needed. Most importantly,
our needs were not straightforward
and Natalie Drummond was customer-
centric throughout. She was always a
pleasure to deal with, no matter how
many questions we had.
Expat Insurance knows its business,
and Natalie delivers that to her
customers. There’s no script; she just
knows the products intimately so she
can give excellent direction to ensure
secure complete coverage for you and
your family.
