There are many things I’ve grown to love and appreciate
about life in Singapore – great weather, affordable travel
getaways and yummy food are just a few of them.
Then there’s the local shopping and design scene. You don't
have to wait till you head home to shop – it’s just about knowing
the best spots and those “hidden gems”, which is why here at
LIV
we enjoy doing the legwork and putting together all those
shopping spreads for you! On that note, flick to page 46 for this
month’s jewellery and accessory finds. (I’ve earmarked a few
for myself!)
Recently, Unika boutique caught our eye for its cool designers,
its cute little shop-front and its great location opposite Great
World City. Founder Nira Dror Shoshani, who hails from Israel,
brings something different to the market with an eclectic mix of
jewellery, shoes and clothing that reflects her own pared-down
and effortless style. Turn to page 24 to read about her story.
Another thing we’ve focused on this month is skincare. Most
of us go through times when our complexions look a little, well,
the worse for wear; but instead of waiting for the phase to pass,
you could move out of it by taking some expert advice and maybe
trying a new clinical facial (page 31).
